How old does a child have to be to be able to build a Castle like this?
When showing my blocks at festivals many parents ask "How do we do this?" I like to reply "Just save the fancy pieces for the top". Young children's imaginations soar , a row of blocks can be a Train, or a River or a Road. It can be a Town or Farm. It can be a Castle or Cathedral, a Gothic Tower or Rocket Ship? There is no wrong way of playing with blocks. Children start stacking at the age of 2
1/2 and you can stack these blocks just as well as any other blocks, only
mine may be a bit more intriguing , but ultimately they are just blocks.
As you play with your children their skills will grow, as will there
Castle building abilities. |

What
type of wood are they made of and how big are the blocks?
The blocks are made out of reclaimed hardwoods, all of the lumber I use are edgings from a mill in Chino CA.. I cut scrap from other jobs, a mixture of hardwoods Alder, Sugar, Red, and Silver Maple, and Cherry. With a color spectrum of white to grayish white, light brown or pink with a grayish or greenish cast, from light to dark reddish brown. So your Castles will have a great marbled look. They are free of any harmful or toxic finishes.

What make your blocks different, or better then other building blocks?
Well they are certainly different. There are other castle block sets out there, but they are more regimented, you have to build it a certain way, there are few options. My blocks are free style, you can build or arrange any way you like just like regular blocks, only mine are fancier. You build a structure, top it off with the fancy pieces and it truly looks like a Castle or Kingdom (a Castle is piled high, and a Kingdom is sprawling). And because of the detail anyone intrigued by Castles are drawn to these blocks, so it's not simply a child's toy, these are for all ages young and old alike, to be shared and enjoyed by the entire family.
